If you own a business in Fort Greene or Clinton Hill, David Energy wants to install free, plug-in batteries in your space and guarantee they lower your Con Ed bill.
Energy costs have jumped 45% in the last five years. More than half of your Con Ed bill comes from demand charges, fees tied to your peak electricity use. David Energy’s batteries automatically lower those charges, with no disruption to your business and nothing to manage on your end.
The batteries and installation are completely free. And the savings are guaranteed. If David Energy doesn’t save you money, you can walk away and they’ll remove the batteries at no cost.
More than 600 NYC businesses have already signed up, many through word of mouth from other owners. Public Records, Sweet Chick, and Little Egg are among them.
Little Egg, a community breakfast and lunch restaurant featuring locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, recently had their batteries installed.
“One of the best things about having the batteries here is we basically don't even know they're there. They do their job in adjusting our energy supply usage, and we don't have to think about it. There's no maintenance on our part.” — Evan Hanczor, Owner of Little Egg
